Kennedy Robinson PR Teams Up with Rush Art Philadelphia for #ArtForLifePhilly
We are proud to announce that we have been appointed as the Public Relations agency for Rush Arts Philadelphia’s Art for Life Benefit. We will be managing all press and publicity for the fundraiser, including social media. The inaugural event will be held on November 3, 2018 at the Painted Bride Art Center in Philadelphia.
Kennedy Robinson PR will be responsible for Event PR campaign development and execution, strategy implementation, media relations and press office function. Key areas of focus will be generating awareness and increasing engagement in an effort to meet fundraising goals to benefit Rush Arts programs and initiatives.
Artist, poet and philanthropist Danny Simmons founded RAP in 2016 after relocating his home to Philadelphia from Brooklyn, NY. Simmons decided to locate RAP in the Logan section of Philadelphia to spur a revitalization of the neighborhood through the arts. Since RAP’s founding the organization has offered visual and performing arts classes to children and adults, including free progressive, multi-week programs, and exhibitions that have provided exposure to emerging artists and curators of color, while also introducing the Logan residents to high-quality fine art. RAP has exhibition and programming partnerships with the Barnes Foundation, Art Sanctuary, PAFA, the African American Museum in Philadelphia (AMMP), and Mural Arts Philadelphia (MAP), among others. RAP artist studios were also the site of the AAMP Residency for Art & Social Change and MAP erected a mural of Danny Simmons’s work directly across the street of the RAP Gallery at 4954 Old York Road.
Our Principal Publicist and Founder Niesha Kennedy-Robinson comments; “We are honored to be selected to handle PR for Art for Life Philly. Rush Arts provides a place for artists of color who lack representation in Philadelphi’s Art Scene - we support the resource RAP progrives. It’s an inclusive space for new audience snad promotes visual art, cirtaroials visons, perforamnce art and community involvement. Community service and giving back is an important part of our business. There is a great deal of opportunity to work with Rush Arts Philly and we are looking forward to raising awareness of RAP, their mission and programs, all while raising funds for those who need it most.”
Proceeds from Art For Life Philadelphia will benefit Rush Arts’ education programs for inner city youth and gallery programs for emerging artists and curators, expanding our reach to support underserved youth and communities in Philadelphia.
